Inner Awareness: Feed Your Soul, Shape the Future
AI and Robotic trends threaten to erode our humanity and society. Unlock your hidden power today and transform society from the inside.
What feeds your soul?
What excites you and drives you each day? Which feeling propels you out of bed, ready for the new day? We would love to hear your thoughts, so please comment!
If you wake up feeling dread, like, “Oh no, it’s Monday!” then keep reading. You have it within you to recreate your life.
Capital-ism
In our Western culture, intellect, and logical thought are regarded as the crowning jewels of humanity’s evolution. The do-it-all tool for dominance in all walks of life. Our motto: Figure out a better way to do this or that, and you will win the prize, fame, and fortune! The singular problem with this approach is that it pits everyone against everyone else — company vs company, and within each company, individual vs individual, yes, the rat race. In the end, there are too many losers and so few winners.
Compassion, empathy, community, and acceptance, humanity’s true hallmark capabilities, have little or no place in such a rat race culture. For the sake and health of all, this has to change.
Enter AI
A massive shift is on the horizon: this so-called artificial intelligence, even though nothing is synthetic about it, as it is pure logic. AI is in the process of expanding exponentially into silicon “brains” all around the world and is already superior to human logic.
AI will replace human logic decisions in every corner of the corporate landscape in only a few short years. Where once only the most brilliant of humans took reign, machines will dominate.
Yes, we will all lose the rat race to machines. You can forget about Vance in accounting; he is walking out with his papers, as you are, too.
Robots with artificial intelligence driving their actions and decisions will soon be replacing millions of humans in the workplace who are working hands-on.
Increasingly, compassionate community leaders worldwide see the coming tide of the machines and their potential toll on humanity. Only a few humans will be needed to “work.” Corporations will use AI and robots over humans, as they will cut costs to drive profits.
Who reaps the profits?
Yes, so many outspoken capitalists claim how wonderful the world will be when humans no longer need to toil and scrape a living; we can all relax and enjoy the sunset without any need to work.
But how can anyone earn the bucks for that luxurious framed sundown if no one is working?
What will humanity do? As our physical capabilities and logical intelligence become less necessary, only a few humans will earn money to buy mass-produced goods from machines. So, how will everyone else live? And how will corporations continue to make a profit?
Obviously, without an incredible shift in our culture and humanity’s goals, the scenario I just outlined will implode into massive poverty and turmoil, likely leading to the catastrophe of war, throwing us back into strife and despair.
This repeating record of gain of the few has reproduced a series of catastrophic fails for humanity in every period of history when small groups of people concentrated all the wealth to but a few.
Power to the people?
Yes, enough, blah; we all see what is happening and how the powers on either side of any fence don’t want to offer solutions. Since all real solutions change the power structures in place, they will not provide the solution for the loss of power! Simple logic. An unfiltered AI will tell you that in milliseconds, but good luck finding one!
So, Duncan, what is the solution?
We all know changes are on the horizon, so what can we do NOW to slow the tide of change? If enough of us act, we can stop it altogether and turn our progress into a brighter, more cultivating, compassionate, and constructive future.
As with all great revolutions, It all starts with one (individual) self, with a simple and most powerful change of intention. Don’t quest for what you need or want. Look at what you have. Not your possessions, your quality of life. How do you feel inside?
Don’t look at any outside messages; do not allow corporate propaganda. Yeah, those marketing messages saying you need this and that; how much of your stuff do you cherish? If a disaster was bearing down on you, what of your stuff would you take to shelter? You’ll perish if you pick your valuable watch or shoe collection over food and water!
All that noise from advertisers presenting what you cannot live without is the transposing of someone else’s dream to your will, convincing you to give away your earnings to fulfill another’s selfish goals, and keeping you tied into the system, tied to a paycheck.
Ask yourself again what you’re feeling in your heart. What feeds your soul? Do you need that stuff they are selling you on your screens?
Instead, flip the focus on what you would create and bring to the world if the world supported your creativity.
What if everyone supported each other’s passions and, in return, had their passions supported by others? This collaboration would bring about a positive change for each individual, and when this support is widespread, it would positively impact the world.
Now, let’s make that happen!
Many have found that trying to change the world by changing others has limited reach and can be dangerous. No two people share the same beliefs, as each has ideas and beliefs from a unique perspective — that of the self.
While each of us has our own mind, we all have a quality, a presence that, when investigated, is the same from person to person without deviation, an actual absolute in each of us.
Precisely, what do we all share? We all share the experience of perception of our most intimate selves, our awareness, our “I.”
We throw around this one-letter reference to consciousness without hardly a second thought. It may be easy to dismiss, but this oh-so-familiar singular name is each person’s and, collectively, our secret powerhouse.
It’s so familiar that the “I” can be easily missed, hiding in plain sight, as intimate as intimate gets. Have you noticed this? Now, say and feel “I AM” out loud and again with your inner voice. Proclaim it, “I AM”.
Take a moment to contemplate who you are inside as a person. Who is the self inside yourself? Your ever so familiar “I”.
You have achieved many accomplishments, merits, and awards. All these experiences make up your personality. Your ups and downs, struggles and triumphs. Are these who you are at this moment? The accumulation of your experiences? Or are you something more or maybe something less?
Do you have a feeling that you’re nothing at all? If so, don’t be down. The hollowness is a sign of an awakening!
Whereas much of what makes you “you” changes, you have grown up, accumulated things, people, and experiences, and lost some too. You have times of pain and joy, love and anger. Still, behind all these transitory moments, now living as memories, the intimate innermost “I” within you has never changed, is forever present, and fundamentally eternal.
Going all the way in
You are aware and conscious right now, reading these words. Who is reading?
Is your “I” you? Has it ever changed? Was it ever born? Does it ever change?
Take the time to reflect on this each day, and set a time to be with yourself. Morning is an excellent time to do this when you are just up. Contemplate for a moment: How do you feel? Where does your feeling come from? Who or what tells you what you need to do? Look at what you are aware of and who is the one aware.
Now, here is the challenge. This way of being may not be easy at first and strangely disorientating, but instead of going about your day from what you think and feel, how about only acting and doing from your “I”?
Before speaking a word or acting, center on your awareness of your innermost “I.” How does “I” talk? How does “I” act?
Will it move you from the heart once it moves you? Sometimes, you must wait to know how it will move you. Do not act from your thoughts, needs, or desires but from who you are.
Give it time, set a timer, see if the “I” moves you after 10 or 20 minutes, then go about your day, but keep returning to your “I.” Always note, does it move you?
Keep doing this daily and the world will be changed from the miracle within you. The world changes because you change, but you will see, you seem not to have changed at all!
Give it a try for a week or a month, and let me know how it goes. If you uncover a part of yourself you never knew existed, reach out; I will provide resources to continue your journey.
In only a short time, you will find that your awareness will expand, your vision will become broader and more vivid, and sounds and smells you never noticed will become evident; they were always there, but you did not perceive them before.
Then your thoughts and feelings will become quieter, further away, like a cloud over which your awareness drifts. You will move closer to your inner being, and the genuinely miraculous will occur.
You will experience or perceive that Divinity is within you, always has been, and always was. It was only the noise of your mind clouding you to who and what you indeed are.
You will never be in lack again, never lust, never want, for you will become fulfilled and filled with simply everything.
We would love to hear your experiences and comments, even if you think I’m a crazy dreamer. If you follow this plan, the dreamer will awaken on one glorious day!
